Legal Operating Name: Tri-State German-American School Society Of Cincinnati
The Tri-State German-American School Society of Cincinnati (referred to interchangeably in the context of this web site as the Tri-State German School or abbreviated as TSGS) is a non-profit, non-discriminatory, 501(c) tax-exempt institution. The school has operated in the Greater Cincinnati area since 1968 and pursued the primary mission of providing German language instruction and cultural enrichment to children, teens, and adults in a relaxed atmosphere. The official Board of Trustees structure, membership roles, as well as, the codes and articles explaining oversight and administration of the organization is located in the embedded By-Laws document.
In April 1978, the Tri-State German-American School Society of Cincinnati was issued a determination letter from the IRS that recognized the school as exempt from federal income tax under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. That letter is still in effect. The reason – for Public Charity Status: A school described in section 170(b)(1)(A)(ii). Our Federal Identification Number is: 31-0786002. We are registered in Ohio as TRI-STATE GERMAN-AMERICAN SCHOOL SOCIETY OF CINCINNATI, OHIO Entity number 377582 – Approved for continued existence.
